The BCCB Board is committed to providing a clear and fair process for handling appeals, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and ethics violations, investigating complaints, and taking disciplinary action as required for any applicant, candidate, or certified person as well as the BCCB program and personnel.

Appeals

An APPEAL is defined as a formal request to the BCCB for special consideration or accommodation of an adverse decision regarding certification.

To file an appeal, please fill out the Appeal Form with complete details and email to certification@bcxa.org. Include any additional information or documentation you would like to provide in support of your appeal request.

Complaints

A COMPLAINT is defined as a communication submitted to the BCCB expressing dissatisfaction regarding an issue against a certified individual or issues with the BCCB certification program where a response is expected.

To file a complaint, please fill out the Complaint Form with complete details and email to certification@bcxa.orgg. Include any additional information or documentation in support of your complaint.

Submission
The appeal or complaint is initially submitted to BCCB.
Day 10
Investigative Period
The period of time when an investigation into the appeal or complaint is carried out. This period varies as needed until investigation is complete.
Days 21-30
Notice of Decision
The notice of the decision for the submission is sent to the Appellant or Complainant within 15 days of the decision meeting.
Day 1
Notice Given
Notice of receipt for the appeal or complaint is given to Appellant or Complainant.
Days 11-21
Submittal for Review
Upon completion of the investigation, the findings are submitted for review by the Committee/Board for a decision to be made regarding the appeal or complaint.
Days 30-45

Statement of Impartiality

The BCCB provides an objective and balanced certification awarding service. We adhere to transparent procedures based on ISO/IEC 17024:2012, which contains built-in checks to ensure the objectivity of certification activities.
